Our therapy offer consists of a range of formal and informal assessments and observations, specialist interventions, therapeutic programmes delivered by school staff, and recommendation and strategies provided by the Therapy Team professionals.
Our in-house Speech and Language Therapist and Occupational Therapist ensure that all young people receive appropriate assessments and therapies, and that parents and the team around each child has a full understanding of their needs and program.
All students will access weekly therapy groups designed to develop their social skills. These will be delivered by members of the Therapy Team, and trained teaching staff. The skills identified (figure 1) are progressive and follow a social skills development hierarchy. Students will also have weekly sensory and biophilia sessions including activities such as nature walks, sand, water, LEGO Therapy, kinetic activities and sensory movement.
